Whew..I'm so glad I bought this at the market to try out before I ordered 12, count em 12 bags of this snack. I purchased the larger 12 0z. size for cereal, and it took me a long time to get through it. I have tried two of the other flavors(Cinnamon Apple/Banana Nut), that I really thought were delicious and chewy, and could also be used as toppers for yogurt. This one didn't taste bad, it was just bland and boring. Nothin to write home about. It was also not chewy like the chunks in the others.

Health wise; It's a good healthy, energizing snack or breakfast. The power of protein combined with other the healthful and nutritious ingredients:
Whole Grain Oats, Toasted Soy Flakes, Honey, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Cranberries (Cranberries, Sugar), Soy Protein Isolate, Sunflower Seeds, Crisp Rice (Rice and Barley Malt), Whole Grain Flax Meal, Cinnamon, Natural Flavor. It's low in fat and sugar, and has no cholesterol. It has 5 grms. of protein per serving. And "Bear Naked" says the company's ingredients are all-natural and barely processed. For full nutritional values, there is a link on the product detail page.

Maybe you could even doctor it with some fresh fruit for a little added flavor to your cereal. But I couldn't recommend to buy 12 bags of it. Too bad they don't have a multi-pack in either the 12 oz. bags, or the 2 0z snack bags, so that you can sample each flavor for yourself. Like the other flavors, after you get through the chunk parts, you are left with crumb size bits, but won't go to waste if you sprinkle on yogurt.

Other pluses for the product are that they come in ziploc bags, are a good price compared to the grocery store, and are convenient to throw in your briefcase or gym bag. I would though, recommend, one of the other flavors that are really good.

(More customer reviews)We really enjoyed this cereal. It is hard to find any cereal that is not overloaded with sugar, let alone one that is gluten-free. This cereal meets both needs. It is sweetened only with fruit juice and has a crunch that lasts. Additionally, the price is great!

The only reason I don't give it five stars is because it is a little plain. That can be nice, if you like to add things like fresh or dried fruit, or if you like to use it in baking. But, if you're in a hurry or don't want to mess with "doctoring it up", it is not really flavorful. I didn't mind it, but I could see how others would find it too plain.

I particulary love the Vanilla Almond Crunch "Cereal" which I use like granola over my fruit and yogurt. I love that it is sweetened naturally and is low in fat. If you want a traditional granola, I also really like the Peak Protein. It is great for snacking right out of the bag and since I don't eat meat, the extra protein is needed. It kind of tastes a little like an oatmeal cookie to me. I've tried all their flavors and these are the only two I like, although I will say my husband is partial to the fruit and nut. There is a flavor for everyone!

(More customer reviews)My love affair with Kashi products is recent but no less intense for that.My pregnancy inspired me to try to adopt a healthier diet and one of the things I've been concentrating on is eliminating high fructose corn syrup.After looking at boxes and boxes of cereal bars and granola bars, I've come to rely on Kashi products because I know they don't use high fructose corn syrup.I saw this particular flavor at the store one day and quickly became hooked.I now order them by the six pack via Amazon.

The bars are a chewy sort of granola bar with a layer that's a mixture of raspberry and chocolate, topped with chopped almonds.There isn't a strong chocolate flavor to them; rather, it is more subtle with a nice hint of raspberry.In short, the bars are truly delicious.It's nice to eat something that feels like an indulgence but is providing your body with lots of healthy whole grains.I've found that eating these bars has really helped curb my sugar cravings and has made me less inclined to want highly processed foods as they are beginning to taste cloying and artificial to me in comparison with the natural, delicious flavor of these bars.

Nestle Cerelac is a very popular brand in India and I was not able to find this in any of the Indian stores nearby. Accidentally, I found this in Amazon and since then meal time with my baby is fun. She enjoys this flavour very much and this is definitely better and nutritios than Gerber or Earth's best brands. I dont understand why Nestle has not entered this market in the USA, eventhough they market breast milk supplements like good start. My daughter would never eat the gerber brand cereals before and would be very fuzzy throughout the meal time. Cerelac is definitely a life saver.

What do we want?
(1) Flavor.Those real freeze dried strawberries are so delicious that we are tempted to eat them dry out of the box and leave the cereal.The cereal tastes good too.It is sweet, and there is malt flavoring that we love.
(2) Nutrition.With 110 calories per cup, we can measure out a cup and use it for diet food.It has vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, calcium, B vitamins, and minerals.
(3) Grain.There are crispy rice and wheat flakes.What does not matter to us? (Or does it?)
(1) Sugar.The cereal is loaded with it, but if we did not have it in the cereal, many of us would spoon in a generous application. The second ingredient is sugar.Is that cane or corn?Also listed in the ingredients is high fructose corn syrup.
(2) Nutrition.It is hard to stop with one cup full because we are used to feeling full.A cup of light cereal takes us through the motion of eating slowly . . . that's a plus . . . but does not satisfy the way whole grain cereal does.About the added nutrition:some of us don't need all of what it gives us, or maybe we really do prefer to take them in pill form so we know we exactly what we are getting.Many of us take in more iron than is considered healthy for our specific needs.What your physician will tell you about this issue may be surprising.
(3) Grain. If we are allergic to wheat, we need to pay attention to the label.Also there is corn in the form of fructose.What we are getting is highly refined grain products when whole grain would be better for our health by providing fiber.

With the price out of the range of what we usually spend on breakfast foods, I don't find it a good value.

16: 2.1oz Frosted Flakes
8 : 1.5oz Froot Loops
12: 2.8oz Rasin Bran Crunch
10: 1.5oz Apple Jacks
10: 1.5oz Corn Pops
4(!): Cocoa Rice Krispies

The main reason I got this over using regular boxes was that I wanted a variety of different cereals.However, there are way too many Frosted Flakes and far too few Rice Krispies.Kind of takes the "variety" out of variety pack.

(More customer reviews)I love products with very few ingredients, and Barbara's Brown Rice Crisps contain: Organic whole grain brown rice, Organic fruit juice concentrate, and sea salt, that's all!No preservatives, gluten free, Dairy free, Vegetarian, no artificial anything, and it tastes great!The light sweetness of the organic fruit juice isn't quite enough for me, so I drizzle a tiny amount of agave nectar over it.This cereal is yummy with soy milk or rice milk if you are staying away from dairy.There seems to be a few overbaked "crips" in most boxes, but for a cereal that is minimally processed it really doesn't bother me.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think this cereal is way overpriced!It is costly in stores and here on amazon.I mean come on, we know what's in it, how could it cost so much!I still highly recommend this product, if you want a healthy cereal with no bad stuff in it, and you have lots of money!
