(More customer reviews)I love to have sushi and have had some of the plum wine on oranges and sour plum and cucumber rolls and wanted to capture that feeling.This candy was exactly what I wanted.It is so light and subtle and does have a nice honey taste as well.The bag was practically a work of art I did not want to open it kind of a rice paper look. I am not someone who likes super sweet candy and this was perfect.It is a plum alcohol and not a plum fruity flavor.I think I will give it as a gift sometime to an adult.It is that elegant. This product is different from Hirano Honey Ume Liqueur Candy in that this one has more of an alcohol liquer flavor.If you do not want that you might try Hirano Honey Ume Liqueur Candy for a much simplier taste.Personally I think both are great just different.I am glad I tried them both.

(More customer reviews)Seeing as this is a food product, I can't explain to anyone how it tastes. Obviously you, yourself would have to go out and purchase this in order to have the pleasure. That being said: I must stress of how tastey this milk candy is. They come in a nice fairly transluecent bag with around 20-30 pieces stuffed inside. I didn't bother taking the time to count due to my unquenchable hunger and eargerness to taste the morsel. As I have said, I can't tell you how it tasted because it was so heavenly good that it is hard to portray an image. Creamy would be very accurate yet sentuous would also be a good description. Just order a bag and you will be glad you did, but be careful: this product can be quite addicting!

(More customer reviews)Tried these as an experiment.It was a bit random that I found them, and they looked like something that would be fun to try out.And I have to say, they were actually quite good.I offered some to my Mother and Grandmother and my Mother hated it, but my Grandmother said it was different and ate it.

I'm giving this 4 Stars because, even though I loved them, some in my family didn't.So some shoppers may not enjoy it.

The taste is a bit bitter at first, but once you get passed the unfamiliar taste you're good to go.Enjoy!

ZENfreeze Almond Latte Mix, 3-Pound Bag Review

(More customer reviews)i purchased this product in hopes of recreating almond bubble teas at home. however there are a couple problems with this product.
1- no measurements on pkg. just says one or 2 scoops per 8 oz.(no scoop included). 2 heaping tablespoons seemed to work.
2- not resealable, mix must be put in Ziploc or container.
3- hardly any almond flavor, very mild. you get a larger taste of the powdered milk and creamer. these 2 combined overpower the almond, giving more of a milky flavor than almond from beginning to end.
4- does not mix well.you have to mix powder with small amount warm liquid and blend, then add rest of liquid.

Will add almond extract to future batches to combat taste.I know have to figure out what to do with the rest of the 3 pound bag! I will also try the other brand amazon sells, i believe its Trojan foods?

(More customer reviews)I was visiting Japan and stayed at an ANA hotel (in Nagoya). At the registration counter, they had ANA branded hard candies. They were delicious. I noted the name Senjaku on them. I came home to the states and searched Amazon and what do I find?These hard candies (and some other fizzy ones too). I ordered three bags of these and one each of the other kind.All arrived promptly. These hard candies taste great. While they may not be identical to the ANA ones, they are quite good. They are like Jolly Ranchers in consistency and duration but different flavors.I like them and recommend them.The fizzy ones reminded me of Zotz (from Italy). Another check of Amazon and two boxes of Zotz headed my way (smile).By the way, as far as I can tell, there is NOTHING sweet potato about these hard candy.

(More customer reviews)I learned to love Bull Dog Tonkatsu sauce while I was living in Japan. There was a small deli/grill just outside my local train station that sold set meals of tempura and tonkatsu. (For those who may not know, tonkatsu is a breaded, deep fried pork cutlet. The sauce is designed to garnish this delicacy.) I used to pick some up on my way home from work, stamping my feet to keep warm as I trudged up the interminable hill that led to my apartment. I bought this sauce at the local grocery store and kept it on hand for just such occasions!

To the previous reviewer who compared the flavor to that of nutmeg: Bravo! you almost nailed it:) I have a home made version of tonkatsu sauce I cobble together as a clone. It calls for a significant amount of allspice and clove, as well as a generous splash of sake. If you Google for recipes you can experiment yourself, if you're so inclined. But then, the good folks over at Bull Dog may object to my counter productive views--sorry folks! :)

In closing, I want to urge you to visit Japan and try tonkatsu for yourselves! I had a wonderful time during the two years I lived there! Here's a treasure hunt for you: there is a restaurant specializing in tonkatsu to be found on the top floor of the mall that encompasses the bullet train station in Kyoto. Give that place a try for an unbeatable taste of Japanese cuisine; the view is fantastic! I recommend it highly. Bon appetit!:)
