(More customer reviews)I'm a salty-snack fiend. I've always liked the dry, salty strips of jerky. I'm a little odd in my tastes in that I like stuff typically dry and crunchy, so sometimes I'll even leave a bag of jerky open and leave it in my glovebox for weeks to get it just right. I am not a big fan of marinated jerky - it's usually just slimy, and you nearly rip your head off biting a piece from it and then your jaw is sore for hours from all the chewing to get the gristle-filled lube-fest masticated enough to swallow safely.

During a road trip, I stopped at a gas station and picked up some staples. I knew from experience that the other brands available at this pitstop were jerky's I was not fond of, and so I gave this one a go.

This stuff practically melts in your mouth. Marinated, but not greasy. Easy to chew, and no noticable gristle or fat globules. It's not the type of jerky I would have normally gone for, but I'm so glad I did. On the way back from my road trip, I stopped at the same gas station and bought all the packets they had.

Beef jerky has gotten so expensive over the years, you'd think they were marinating it in super-unleaded gasoline. This is one bag of beef jerky that you will not think is over-priced once you try it. If jerky were served at gourmet restaurants, this would be the brand to serve. My hat is off to Golden Island Cuisine for re-inventing the ancient art of drying meat to preserve it and making it taste good without pumping it full of MSG and formaldehyde.

(More customer reviews)It is true, human ingenuity knows no bounds. How else can you account for the genius that decided to turn nasty fossil fuels into bubble-gum to feed to the young?

I have no idea if there are any health implications for the youthful masticators of this product but, given my age, I don't much care anyway. I assume that the intended destination for these delightful sweeties is somewhere poor overseas (Sudan, Iraq, Ireland, etc.) as this will help the US meet the unreasonably stringent carbon-reduction targets set at Kyoto.

The delightful packaging makes this gum instantly attractive to any child and will keep their tiny minds off the taste as their mouths blacken with every cheery chew. It warms the cockles of my heart to think that my age-group will still be able to drive around in huge gas-guzzling behemoths guilt-free due to the unwitting self-sacrifice of the next generation.

(More customer reviews)This box comes with a copious amount of candy with an abundance of flavors.I personally don't like sour drops/lollipops so I didn't particularly like this set.Most (maybe 9/12 pouches) have citrus or sour flavored candy that comes in assortments like Mango Tango, Watermelon, and Pomegranate Pucker.So as such, I brought in the candies in a basket to the corner of my office desk and everyone drops on by to tell me how delicious they are.It's relatively cheap so if you're working in an administrative position, this purchase might be an easy way to spark up conversations or get noticed around the office.My personal favorites were Pomegranate and Root Beer.If you're thinking of getting this candy for yourself, it is WAY too much for any ordinary sweet-toothed person to eat.You WILL have to share or give them to family or friends.

BOTTOM LINE: Great drop/lollipop pack for the price with very interesting (and unforgettable) flavors.If you buy this particular box, you will have to share or give away various pouches unless you want to develop cavities.

NOTE THAT THESE CANDIES ARE NOT SUGAR FREE, they are ONLY GLUTEN FREE for people with various disorders.They are still very sweet (and sour).

Chestnut Puree (bende) 14.1oz(400g) Review

(More customer reviews)First of all, the puree was fabulous, and it was wonderful to be able to find something like this which is very difficult to find even in the specialty grocery stores. That was amazing.

However, that being said, it took forever to get the product. It was shipped by way of the moon and came into Illinois and then left Illinois (where it was supposed to be delivered). It even changed shipping carriers. It was (finally) supposed to be delivered by UPS and on their web site it showed one failed attempt. The problem was that people were home, no one tried to ring the door bell, no note on the door, nothing. Called the post office, they said they would try to re-deliver it the following day. Ok. Stayed home the next day. Nothing. No note, no one ringing the door bell, nothing. Looked on line and the UPS site said 2nd attempted delivery. Called the post office again, complained, they said they were sending the package back because no one was home to sign for it. They finally agreed to a third attempt, and I stayed home from work for a third day (ugh!). Still no one bothered to ring the door bell - they just left the package on the door step.

What a nightmare.
