(More customer reviews)I'm a granola bar fan, and I tried these recently and really like them.Had one for breakfast about five minutes ago, as a matter of fact.I can imagine a better granola bar, but it's pretty dang good.If you're like me, you like to pack a variety of bars for camping/hiking/road trips so as to not fall victim to monotonous granola.These are definitely a good addition to your bar repertoire.

(More customer reviews)I really enjoy the flavor and texture of these candybars, but don't be fooled by the natural look of the product and packaging. These are all "treat" and no "snack". Nature Valley is blurring the lines between the once distinct categories of granola bars and candy bars. This product certainly falls into the latter category, but appears to be marketing itself into the first.

Ingredients include a host of flavor enhancers and sweeteners that "healthy snack bar" types might be trying to avoid.

We have 22g Carbs, 7g Fat, 3g Protien and 170mg of Sodium
"Glycemic Spike" and "Water Retention" come to mind...

Check out these ingredients:

High Maltose Corn Syrup is the second ingredient, sugar is the 4th, High fructose corn syrup is the 5th. Also in there is wheat flakes, fructose, honey, milk products and soy lecithin. As for the good stuff, we have almonds as the first ingredient, rolled oats as the third, crisp rice as the 6th. There are other ingredients as well, surely listed in the product description here on Amazon.

One peave regarding the product packaging which states that the bar is "dipped in almond butter coating". Well, I eat almond butter (instead of peanut butter). The "coating" they refer to is more of a white "sugary milk product coating" with a little almond mixed in. It is nothing like "almond butter".

Overall, this bar packs the salty sweet flavor punch it boasts and the texture is fun. Just beware (or be aware) of all those "other" ingredients when you buy.

I love Nature Valley snacks, and this variety pack is great.All these trail mix bars are good, though the fruit and nut is my favorite.They are great for hiking, snacking or as a spare for that commute.

There is a sweet substance holding these bars together, and the fruit inside also adds plenty of sugar.Even with my sweet tooth I have to limit myself to one bar, so if you have blood sugar issues you may want to look elsewhere.

I do agree that the mixed berry are probably the sweetest of the bars.You can also get these packages in individual flavors instead of the variety pack, which some people will no doubt prefer.Just try to by an individual box of the variety pack first so that you can try them all before you get 12 boxes of one variety.

The good thing about getting them at Amazon is that you can guarantee a pretty low price if you choose the subscription.Give these a try.

That's not bad for a bar that satisfies our cravings for candy bars. We keep a box of Fruit & Nut bars on hand. When we get ready to leave on a road trip, we take some with us. That way we can travel further without having to stop along the way. Sometimes we grab a bar in the morning when we are in a hurry. They make a good breakfast.

Fruit & Nut Bars contain almonds, raisins, peanuts, and cranberries.

In 1975, Nature Valley created the granola bar category. Since then Nature Valley has continued to set the standard for granola bars.

Now it is possible to buy Nature Valley granola bars in all sorts of flavors, such as Apple Crisp, Strawberry Yogurt, Vanilla Yogurt, Blueberry Yogurt, Mixed Berry, Banana Nut, Oats and Honey, Cinnamon, Maple Brown Sugar, Roasted Almond, and Peanut Butter. We started with Fruit & Nut bars, and so far we have not managed to buy anything else. I suppose we should try other kinds, but Fruit & Nut bars are too good.

(More customer reviews)Shame on Nature Valley for trying to pull the wool over our eyes!If you were a fan of these bars when they first came out, then be warned.The recipe has changed and the bars are much different and NOT for the better.Not only are they much smaller, they also contain far fewer nuts/fruit and the bar itself now has an airier consistency like the Rice Krispie's treat.

How do I know all this?I bought these bars on a regular basis from Costco and still had some leftover bars from the first batch and I was able to compare them side by side.These were always my favorite hiking snack and now they aren't much better than every other bar out there.I think Nature Valley will quickly regret its decision once they realize that their are a lot of unhappy customers.I'd gladly pay a little extra if it meant keeping the bars the way they were.

If you don't believe me then by all means buy them and judge for yourself.

Now, Nature Valley gives you Chewy Trail Mix bars - soft and chewy, a delicious mix of grains (including oats and rice), fruits (including raisins and cranberries), and nuts (including almonds, peanuts and sunflower seeds).

These bars are great! Each bar contains 140 calories (35 calories from fat) and 25g of carbohydrates, which makes it a pretty good snack - certainly much better than your standard candy bar. I like the way that these bars taste - fruits and nuts, plus the whole grains. It's like a cross between and cookie and a cupcake. Yeah, this is a great snack, better than a candy bar, and better for you. My family and I highly recommend this great snack!
