(More customer reviews)Fresh limes are underappreciated, but a joy to have in the kitchen.A few squirts of lime juice into water makes a wonderful and healthy alternative to carbonated beverages (and without sugar!).
Additionally, they're essential for doing salsa right.
1/4 C Lime juice (from 4 limes)
10 small tomatillos, husks removed and washed (ASIN B0000TL6DG)
2-3 Chipotles, seeds removed (ASIN B0000EIDSR)
1 C cilantro, roughly chopped
8 small Tomatoes
1 small onion (optional)
Salt to taste
Cook tomatillos, tomatoes and onion: place on cookie sheet and broil at 500 degrees. The tomatoes will come out in about 10 minutes, the tomatillos and onion 15-20 minutes. Let cool, then puree the tomatillos in a blender with the lime juice, boullion garlic and the chipotles. Add half the cilantro, and whirl just a little bit. Add remaining ingredients. Let stand for about 30 minutes then serve at room temperature.

(More customer reviews)This product does come in a shaker cannister not only the small packets. The latter are useful for when you are on the go or at work. Like the lemon and orange versions this product adds excellent citrus flavor without much acid. This product has a good shelf life and can be used creatively. Not only do I add it to water but consider some of the following. Use it in chicken salad, turkey meatloaf, glazing for pound cake, with some butter and pepper over vegetables as well as add a few packets to you pasta water. Fresh lemons and limes may be expensive during certain times of the year and it can be disappointing when they go to waste. This product will not replace the need for the real thing but would be a useful addition to your pantry.

True Orange Crystallized Fruit Wedge, 32 Pack Review

(More customer reviews)I've only used this in tea so far and it's great.It gives a nice subtle orange-y taste to regular tea (haven't tried it with green tea yet). The only thing I don't like is that it smells sort of like splenda or medicine a little BUT the taste is good. And there is no splenda or anything like that in here.
