My hosts were converted on the spot!I am not a licorice fan and was surprised to see it in the ingredients, but this does not taste like black licorice at all.

(More customer reviews)This is the worst dried mango product. I tasted a few and threw away the whole bag. Ingredient doesn't read it used sugar and preservatives. I thought it was natural and no sugar. But when I saw it I think it used bunch of sugar and also used preservative. Well if they missed ingredients that's still ok only if it tastes good because other products also use sugar and preservative. However it was the worst dried mango I ever had. It is neither pleasing nor healthful. I already lost money spending on it and didn't want to lose my health nor bother my mouth with the worst. So, I threw away the whole bag decisively. No attachment. I recommend philipine imported dired mango products. 7D mango is fine. For your reference, I bought some organic or natural dried mangoes. They are quite different from philipine products. They are real dry and somewhat hard rather than soft and chewy like philipine products. They don't taste as good as philpine products, but they use no sugar no preservative.

(More customer reviews)I bought these to snack on while studying.They're edible and a good sugar delivery mechanism.Something about them -- the variety of mango used, the drying process, or (my guess) starting with underripe mangoes makes them smell and taste... green.They're not particularly flavorful.I much prefer Phillipine brand, myself, with SunMaid a close second -- much closer to the flavor of actually eating a good ripe mango.

I was excited when I saw that Amazon sold it in bulk, when the order arrived & I opened a bag, I was so disappointed. The variety Amazon carries is the "Mariani Thailand Mango" and the one I went crazy for was the "Mariani Phillipine Mango" there was a HUGE difference in taste & texture. Now I'll have to see who wants the 11 unopened bags I have :(At least I can buy the ones I like at my local Jewel Food Store.

(More customer reviews)This product should be labeled naturally sweetened instead of unsweetened.They are sweetened with cane juice.They do not have sulphured preservative.

Since Mangos are sweet already, why do they even bother.The following is my theory.I think this importer gets the mangos un-ripened since they are shipped so far.They then load them up with sugar to disguise this.The result is dried mango which is nearly white in color and has very little mango taste to it.It basically tastes like you're eating a chewy piece of crystalized sugar.

Not what I was looking for.Oh, and Amazon does not allow returns on this product.Another let down.

Country of origin for the mangos was Thailand if anyone cares.

The picture for this product is what I wanted to order. I received something different. The Royal dried mangoes i received were very similar but not as good and more importantly not what I ordered. After trying a few I noticed that they weren't as good so I checked me orders to make sure I purchased what I thought I purchased. The picture was what I ordered but under description they say "Royal Brand Naturally Delicious Dried Mangoes from the Philipines are without a doubt the best tasting..." So the picture they advertise is for Phillippine dried mangoes but under product description its a different brand called Royal. Mangoes are still good but not what I ordered. Disappointed with seller eauction for not clearly advertising product.

(More customer reviews)Mariani makes some pretty terrific, delicious dried fruit. If you like pineapple, mango, papaya--or all of the above--then this great snack is for you! The small plastic bag comes well sealed for you to take it on the road with you when you're traveling and want a quick energy boost; and the contents remain fresh until the expiration date printed on the package.

The dried fruit has no fat nor does it have cholesterol. The sodium content is low but you do have to watch out for the sugar--30 grams of it per serving, and there are four servings in this tiny six ounce package. If sugar is a health concern for you I would avoid eating this snack.

Otherwise, this is fantastically tasty and very pleasant. There is also a slight "sweet and sour" effect from the rather sweet pineapple and the tangy mango dried bits of fruit. The papaya is also very sweet.

I highly recommend this fine dried fruit to anyone who wants a snack food or something they can eat fast when they're on the run and they just want a little energy sugar boost. It's also nice to serve to guests as well.
