On Campbell's website which includes V8 products [which they also produce] I found the following info about "Campbell's Low Sodium Tomato Juice";
"Campbell's Tomato Juice is packed with goodness. Each 8 oz. serving of Campbell's Tomato Juice contains:
full serving of vegetables
only 50 calories
Vitamin A
Vitamin C
20 mg of the antioxidant Lycopene"

Most importantly, this "low-sodium" variety has only 140 mg. sodium and 920 mg. potassium compared to 680 mg. sodium and 430 mg. potassium in the standard tomato juice product!

WHY SHOULD YOU WANT IT?

If you are looking for taste, nutrition and low carbs/calories, this beverage is for you. Add to that, low sodium in this particular variation, and you have a drink we should all be drinking. I was always a bit reluctant to indulge in this yummy tomato-fest because of the huge amount of added sodium, but now the low-sodium product has become much more available and costs only 30% more than the original high-sodium version. Typically, this low-sodium, mixed 100% tomato juice is the type of drink that sells for $2-4 at a juice bar per 8-ounce serving or about $8-$10 per quart from a health food store in bottles.

Campbell's website (...)has nutrition info on all their products and each of the 4 tomato juices individually. However, the only difference on the label of each variety of tomato juice was in the amount of sodium it contained. Obviously, their are other differences, but label standardization eradicates their ability to illustrate it to us.

It may take time to get use to tomato juice without salt, but one can taste the tomato in the juice for a change in this product.

But finally, there is a solution. This drink has a lot of servings of both fruits and veggies, and you can't even taste the vegetables. Instead, it tastes like a berry drink. Plus it isn't sweetened with corn syrup or any of that junk. All the sugars are natural.

(More customer reviews)What first got me interested in the entire line of V8 Fusion juices was the need to get vegetables in my diet.Their promise of a serving of vegetables in each 8-oz. serving was worth a try.I was of course skeptical because I couldn't stand the original V8 juice ... too tomato-ey and too salty (check out the sodium content on the label).Now I like tomatoes ... right out of the garden.No problem.But V8 juice takes a good tomato and ruins it.But I digress.

Peach Mango V8 Fusion, Light or Regular, is very sweet.It has less of a tomato / vegetable taste than the Strawberry Banana variety.As a matter of fact, it is probably the sweetest of the blends.The next sweetest may be the Acai Berry Blend, though I haven't tried some of the most recent releases.The Pomegranate-Blueberry juice is the least sweet so far.

Make no mistake, you don't get 100% of the RDA of most nutrients in a serving.But if you're looking for a way to get a child, or someone like me who just acts childish about their diet (I'm 52), it's at least a good start.Just be careful about the sugars.Look at it this way, if it's a choice between this and a non-diet cola drink, this has got to be a healthier choice.

I have the Peach Mango on a Subscribe 'n Save for a case every 8 weeks, which works pretty well for my wife and I.Prices in our area range anywhere from about double Amazon's price to about the same.So with the free shipping, this is a deal.One less thing I have to worry about.I'll probably add another variety for the alternating months since this is working out so well.
