(More customer reviews)The pomegranate molasses arrived on time and in good condition.I encountered this as an ingredient in a Mollie Katzan cookbook and it did not disappoint.We thinned it just a little with warm water and used it as a side sauce for roasted asparagus at a barbecue, and got many rave reviews from our guests, vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike.I recommend both the vendor and this item.

Pomegranate molasses is a syrup-like reduction of pomegranate juice that has a really unique, tart-sweet flavor and is colored a gorgeous, deep reddish purple. It's as thick as maple syrup with sweet and sour flavors that combine the best of balsamic vinegar with lush fruit. Great as an ingredient in an array of Middle Eastern dishes, it's the sort of addition to sauces and stews that add enormous depth of flavor but no one can ever identify. I've found it particularly good with poultry dishes'it's a nice addition to a creative cook's marinade routine. (More customer reviews)This stuff is so yummy, I'll be buying it again and again. I don't even like pomegranate and I resist the ubiquitous pomegranate juice in stores. But this stuff - is great! I used it as an addition to a sauce (an Iraqi recipe I was trying out) and it is tart and sweet at the same time. I can't resist helping myself to a teaspoonful right from the bottle now and then. Its flavor is so intense, that's all you need....

(More customer reviews)I tried different brands, and I find myself buying this one more frequently whenever I can find it at a good price (~6). I use it as a salad dressing instead of vinegar.Or just add water and drink! I do not have fancy lab instruments to verify authencity ( NMR testing can actually trace the carbon to the poemegrante tree).The label claims 100% pomegranate.In my opinion, labels are not always true.Other brands list, sugar, flavors, ..etc.

Compared to other stuff I tried, this is is good.. I have one pomegranate tree in my backyard and I make my own juice whenever I have the fruit.This taste good but nothing like the real stuff.This does not mean it is fake however, the high temperature cooking process they use does affect the taste.Plus there are many varieties of pomegranates out there, some sweet, some tart, some blonde, some red..etc.If you have access to the real pomegranates, I suggest you make your own, otherwise buy this.Making pomegrante juice is easy in a blender, but it cost alot to buy the fruit, if you can find it
