(More customer reviews)I became aware of this product after reading an article about bugs in food and watched the accompanying video that showed the moving critters on a strawberry.Oh my.Then continued reading and learned about FIT, read the reviews, and tried it.AND LIKE IT VERY MUCH.I now have a new routine.I use my large salad spinner to wash produce.From parsley and kale to peaches and apples, I fill the thing with filtered water and a cap of FIT, swoosh it, let it sit for a few minutes, lift the basket out, dump the water, put the basket and produce back in and fill with fresh water to rinse good.I lift the basket out and put it over a large bowl so that water can drain out.And I recyle the second rinse water.The produce has a clean and fresh feel to it with absolutely no hint that it's been rinsed in FIT.I really really like it.There's probably ways to make a homemade version of this but if you're not inclined to do that, buy this stuff immediately.It's really a pleasure.

(More customer reviews)We eat a lot of fresh produce, so I like to have this around. I fill up the bowl and use it over and over to wash all the produce that I've brought home from the store, or that I'm using that night. The bowl is a bit smaller than I had anticipated - I was expecting something closer in size to a standard colander, and it is quite a bit smaller than that. However, it's still generally plenty big enough for any one item I may be using, and it's easy enough to do a couple of batches.

One other thing that my help to know is that the "jugs" are for use in the bowl, and you are supposed to use one full cap per bowl full of water. This means that the jug is used up fairly quickly if you use it every day, so it's good to be aware of that. It is pretty inexpensive, though - I just tend to use it when I know I'll be using it twice or more.(On two or more bowls of veggies.)

It isn't a must-have, but for people like us who do eat a lot of fresh foods, it is a nice extra bit of insurance.
