(More customer reviews)When I was invited to a friends home for dinner the other night,I decided to get fancy shmancy and bring something along that was not Chocolate. So I took the necessary items to make individual Black Cherry Claufoutis.(Claufoutis is a cousin to a souffle, but even lighter)
Since Cherries are not in season, much less Black Cherries I grabbed a jar of these Black Cherries in light syrup that I had in my cupboard, and along I proceeded to da Pah-tee. I figured that, since everyone would be sloshed by dessert I could get away with using Jarred instead of Fresh Cherries.
Well: the Claufoutis were a hit and these Black Cherries were Delicioso! They were light, fruity and a perfect end to a big overblown, carb-loaded, nouveau-riche trying to impress meal.
