Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)Though this review is written up by me, this lunch box was fed to a hungry, articulate 10-year-old. He said that overall he'd give it five stars if it came with a drink. But it didn't.So he'd give it four stars with the following comments:
a) "the turkey stick tastes like a Slim Jim."That's good, I guess, since having good food that tastes like cheaper food without the preservatives and crazy stuff is like informal Fridays.
b) "the Snap Pea chips taste just like a chip.Only they're made of peas."A green vegetable in a lunch that a kid will actually eat.Except one wonders how many P's are actually being minded.
c) "the Sunflower Crunch tastes just like a handful of sunflower seeds."Ah, yes.But you can't spit out the shells at anyone. That's good news, depending on who you are.
d) "the White Cheddar stick does not need to be eaten with the turkey stick."You see, kids today, they are a bit rebellious. You tell them on the box to eat something one way and they will actually try it another. No more mashing everything together and telling them it's all going to the same place.Loads of possibilities in this lunch.
e) "the strawberry applesauce is very strawberry tasting."Better for you than Froot Loops. And it combines two fruits in one. My own memory is of children's aspirin being powdered into applesauce in order to help me take it.I'm glad that we've graduated from that to an applesauce that children will actually enjoy.
f) "the Gummy Bears are great."Ah, yes, what would all natural sugar that clings to one's cavities be if not a lunch treat.Teachers deserve tons more salary than they get.
g) "the decal can go on with the moist wipe included in the box.You can put it on immediately."I honestly had not thought of that.Gives a new meaning to wearing your lunch.Washing hands?Hope the wipe has plenty more to it.
h) "I learned things from the jokes inside."Actually, I did, too.Sad, but true. The lunch really was educational. Not BBC or PBS educational.More like Mad Magazine educational.
Overall, it was a success. You can take these kids' words for it.
